Every year in the US, over 35 million Halloween costumes end up in the trash, contributing over 2,000 tons of polyester waste.
On the day after Halloween, we hosted the first costume party to end polyester waste. The cost of admission? One costume. And in exchange, people got discounts on Cotopaxi gear.
We used AI to detect Instagram posts that showed New Yorkers in their costumes on Halloween, and DM'd them an invite.
